FOUR NATIONS TOURNAMENT
The best of Britain’s young footballers convened in Sunderland last month for the annual Four Nations tournament. Each of the four participating nations selected 16 of their finest sportsmen to represent their country in this prestigious event.
Despite the monsoon rains and gale force winds, Mark Cullen added three goals to his already impressive tally, to take him to a record breaking six goals in three games, winning the tournament for the English - an accomplishment which contributed to his peers nominating him for the Player of the Tournament award.
Northern Ireland were also recognised by their peers as the most sporting team. Adam Morrison (Scotland) received the Most Sporting Player award for his exemplary attitude on and off the pitch.
